It traces its roots to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music founded in 1867; the College-Conservatory was formed by merger in 1955 and became part of the University of Cincinnati in 1962. CCM trains musicians, dancers and theatre artists across performance, composition and the dramatic arts.
