Founded in 1896 — its first concert conducted by Antonín Dvořák — the Czech Philharmonic is the leading orchestra of the Czech Republic, renowned for its interpretations of Dvořák, Smetana, Janáček and Mahler. It performs at the Rudolfinum in Prague. Semyon Bychkov has been chief conductor and music director since 2018.
